for those who didn´t recognized yet, i started a poll where i asked you to tell me your favourite iwork of mine which i should take as entry for the donnie award 2010 at moca gallery in new york in january. i really can´t find a choice for myself till now, so i count on you all to participate on that poll to give me a relative, representative voting. thank you for that!

all who think my latest work "halber mensch" is impressing, i can say that some more of this look and technique are in progress. watch out! my next journal at the end of this year will feature my personal best works i have faved here on dA through the entire year.

hell yeah! i am back from detroit, where i was attending the damned II exhibition & masquerade ball.
i witnessed an extraordinary event full of great artists, visiors and the art itself. the event was only two days but it was worth the trip. i meet very interesting and kind people, had great talks and made some friends. three works of mine were shown and the interest was great. i got a very positive feedback. a big thanks to all!

right now it is time to proceed in some new projects/works i already started time ago. so you can expect some new works from me in the next weeks. this year there won´t be any other exhibition.

my exhibition during the EAT5 from 9th to 11th of october has past. in these thre days i counted nearly 180 visitors and friends. i expected something like a distant point of view regarding my art from the people here in region in germany. but i experienced something different. the most of the visitors and art friends were open and interrested in the shown artworks. i presented them as direct prints on aluminium plates in the dimensions 100x100cm & 85x120cm. this size offers the viewer a totally different view of the picture itself, contrary to the little views here on dA or my website.

the next exhibition will be in cologne from october 24th to november 1st during the street gallery lindenthal 2009. my works are shown at dürener str. 175 at schuhmacher ingo keller. i will only be present there during the vernissage on saturday 24th and perhaps on sunday 25th (not sure). on the 27th i will fly to detroit and will be present at the damned show this year, where three of my works will be shown.

i feel very proud that three of my works were chosen for the Damned Show II Exhibition in Detroit on 29th/30th of October this year. i just received the confirmation mail and got registred now.



DAMNED II is a two-day exhibition of those wonderful fine art works that is often labeled as outsider, haunting, reflective, macabre, dark and/or disturbing. In admiration of this essence, DAMNED celebrates this art by creating an the intriguing ambiance of darkly inspired performances laced with ethereal soundscapes. The festivities begin on Thursday October 29 2009 at 7pm with a VIP Preview, Artist Reception and absinthe tasting with the general public opening at 9pm until 2am. There is no dress code and Halloween costumes are not necessary but red dressy/sexy Devil-wear is greatly encouraged.

On Friday October 30 (Devil's Night) 2009, there is an elegant formal mask-mandatory Masquerade Ball with options for a 6-course presentation-style dinner of aphrodisiac-inspired cuisine. To nightcap the ball evening, there will be welcome the sensuous noir cabaret sounds of Jill Tracy in a rare solo performance.

DAMNED is proud to return to the Tangent Gallery/Hastings St Ballroom located at 715 Milwaukee St E in Detroit, MI 48202.

I consider now travelling there to be present on that event. So, if i will decide to do that, i will update you, just in case some of you intend to go there and like to meet up.

i´d like to let you know that two of my works went to cover artworks for cds.
"kollaps" appears on the album "the last day" by sanction-x (www.sanction-x.com).
the other one is "stahlversion" featuring on "songs of war and vengeance" by empires of eden (www.empiresofeden.com). in both cases the label/band did the cover layout by themself.

according to my exhibitions this year some news:
i have a new location for EAT5 from 9.-11.10.2009. it is an old kitchen in an old monastery (Kloster).
there will be six works presented. the location is fuckin´ great! it will be the ideal atmosphere for my art i think. the next exhibition to follow will be the street gallery lindenthal 2009 in cologne. i will show my works located at dürener str. 175 at Schuhsterei Ingo Keller.
